We came with our wedding party of 30 years. We had a brilliant time. Everything we needed was there. We loved how they checked in on us. Everyone commented on how well supplied the kitchen and utilities were. I am sure we will be back.

Convenient, but hardly luxury. Positive: The house was big enough to house our sports team for a tournament. It was great to all be in one space together. It was good having a bathroom each especially after a long day of sport. Negative: I’m not sure this listing should advertise “exclusive use of the property.” The owners live in the same house (with internal access which made us feel uneasy). There are quite a few rules that felt over the top, and we were asked to contact the owner each time we wanted to use the pool. We were also asked not to use the drier even though the listing states there is one. This was tricky considering we had 8 uniforms that needed drying by the next morning. One rule was to not cook any strong smelling foods, but every time we came back from tournament the house smelt very strongly of food cooked in the kitchen of his room next door. The owner was around during the day working in the garden, which felt awkward and like we had a lack of privacy. One day he mowed the lawns while we were out, and when we returned, one of the exterior window panes had shattered with a small circular impact mark. When we mentioned it, he insisted it wasn’t from the lawn mowing — though it clearly appeared to be. While the house is large, I wouldn’t describe it as “luxury.” It’s quite run-down, with ants in multiple rooms (including the kitchen), dead flies throughout, and several toilets that required effort to stop from running. The furniture is very outdated and a lot of clutter in the house. Overall, it wasn’t what we expected given the description and photos that have been enhanced. With a renovation and TRUE exclusive use of the property this house has the potential to be amazing.

This place is amazing! We booked the whole place for 2 nights and it had everything we needed. From necessary equipment to spa, steam room and pool. The hosts are wonderful people too! Thank you for making this stay memorable and special

Stunning home in wine district and great for large groups Positive: There was ample breakfast provided for our group of 12. So many choices for tea and coffee. The kitchen was very well stocked and even had a wine fridge. The views were spectacular from the hillside. Negative: Very little not to like about this place. We had 5 motorbikes riden by experienced riders fortunately as the gravel drive up to the property was quite steep and uneven, but worth it for the views.
